About the Artist

Kay Evans is a self-taught mosaic artist.  Her artistic journey began 20 years ago with the creation of a granite, glass and slate mosaic for a very unsightly barbeque in her backyard.

The evolution of her style from stone and ceramics to using glass and beads allows for a more delicate and flowing outcome that fits her love of color, structure and movement. Her goal is to create a pattern in her designs which compliments the shape of the substrate, making her works unique and multidimensional. She strives to create art that is both functional and beautiful. 

She has shown her art in juried art and craft shows, galleries, and specialty boutiques.
